SPOT Welding Training Cell

The Hytech Spot Welding Cell is an integrated training platform combining an industrial spot welding robot with PLC, HMI, and IIoT systems. It supports automated horizontal and vertical welding, servo-synchronized operations, and real industrial workflows. With multiple experiment tables, central control unit, IO-Link integration, tip dressing, and digital twin–based offline programming, it enables safe, hands-on learning for modern manufacturing training.

Fully Automated Robotic Setup
  • Synchronized Operation: The FANUC robot, welding source, servo-driven tables, and auto tip dresser work in a synchronized, coordinated manner.
  • Integrated Control: All operations—welding, part positioning, angle adjustment, and tip maintenance—are controlled through the PLC and monitored via the IIoT HMI.
  • Servo Integration: Automates the spot welding application in integration with the Servo Motor, PLC, and HMI.
  • The robocell offers multi-axis welding practice through its servo-controlled automated table, allowing specimens to be positioned at any angle.
  • Trainees can program and execute welding paths across multiple axes, simulating complex industrial scenarios for horizontal, vertical, and multi-angle welding.
  • Three experiment tables provide hands-on experience on horizontal as well as vertical spot welding.
  • Welding Gun: Equipped with a real industrial spot welding gun for authentic practice.
  • Auto Tip Dresser: An auto tip dresser is integrated to clean and maintain the welding tips automatically, ensuring consistent weld quality and prolonging tool life.
  • Structure: Includes a Spot Welding Pedestal with Chemical Grouting Arrangement and a Recirculating Water Arrangement.
  • Central Control Workstation: Serves as the brain of the system, integrating the PLC, IIoT-enabled HMI, and dual-monitor computer for programming and management.
  • Offline Programming (OLP): Supports offline programming integration through FANUC Roboguide. Programs developed offline can be simulated and tested virtually, with the digital dynamic twin displayed on a TV Screen.
  • Connectivity: Profinet communication and IO-Link based Smart Lights provide necessary automation exposure.
