Complete SCARA–PLC–IIoT Integration
- The SCARA robot is fully synchronized with the Mitsubishi PLC and IIoT HMI.
- Learners gain experience in robotic motion programming and complex path planning.
- Training covers Smart Manufacturing concepts, including real-time data monitoring, alarms, cycle visualization, data logging, analytics, and remote access.
Dual Sorting Mechanisms (Color + Weight Based)
The SCARA cell supports two complete, high-precision sorting applications:
- IO-Link Color Sensor: Used for accurate color detection and classification, ideal for object sorting.
- Load Cell with Signal Amplifier: Used for accurate weight-based sorting and measurement
Both sensors are fully integrated with the PLC, IIoT HMI, and the SCARA robot to execute complex, automated workflows.
Conveyor System with Twin Auto Feeders
The training cell features a conveyor system with adjustable speed and twin auto-feeders:
- Two pneumatically actuated auto-feeders are included.
- One feeder is dedicated to color-based sorting and the other to load-based sorting.
- The conveyor allows learners to design and execute end-to-end automation tasks, including Pick & Place, Palletizing sequences, and Continuous Sorting workflows.
Digital Twin & 3D Simulation Workstation
A dedicated PC workstation with 3D simulation software is provided to expose users to key Industry 4.0 concepts:
- Users can build and simulate robot paths and visualize conveyor flow and sensor interaction.
- Virtual testing allows users to safely validate motion and PLC logic before running the real SCARA robot, minimizing hardware risk.
Industrial Pallets with Feedback
The pallet stations simulate an authentic palletizing environment:
- Each station includes Diffused photo sensors for accurate part detection.
- Shock absorbers ensure controlled part landing.
- PLC-linked sensor feedback provides necessary confirmation for workflow accuracy.
Industrial Hardware and Operating Modes
The system uses authentic industrial components for realistic training:
- Industrial Hardware: Includes industrial sensors, Mitsubishi PLC and HMI, pneumatic actuators, and a robust conveyor system.
- Operating Modes: The cell supports multiple modes to facilitate structured learning:
- Teach Mode: Manually teach robot positions.
- Auto Mode: Run full preprogrammed cycles.
- Manual Jogging Mode: For precise axis movement.
- Sequence Testing Mode: To verify logic step-by-step.
